The Story of Gyde Tours
Gyde Tours started with a simple frustration: watching visitors queue for hours outside the Pantheon and the Vatican Museums when a pre-booked ticket and a good guide could have gotten them straight in. We built Gyde Tours to fix exactly that, for two sites, done properly.

OUR GUIDES
Licensed Rome guides, not script readers
Every Gyde Tours tour is led by a guide who holds the official Rome tour-guide licence, which is earned through a public exam on the city's history, art, and archaeology and is required by law to guide inside sites like the Vatican Museums. Our team are historians and art-history graduates who live in Rome, guide the Pantheon and the Vatican every week, and speak English fluently, with several also guiding in Italian, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. Groups are kept small so you can ask questions, and no one on the team works from a script.
